The Samsung Galaxy S III launch in the U.S. is imminent, and Samsung is dishing info on goodies like TecTiles ahead of that day. TecTiles works with the Galaxy S III's NFC system--a smartphone system that lets you use your device to make transactions by simply hovering the phone over a sensor.
The TecTiles themselves are little square-shaped stickers that you can affix onto anything they'll stick to. But what makes them cool is that you can program them with the Galaxy S III to initiate a number of actions. Here's what I mean: if you want to check into a location on Foursquare, compose a text message or e-mail, make a phone call or post a tweet on Twitter, all you do is program the action on the TecTile with your phone and you're set. The next time you want to perform one of those actions, you just touch your phone to the TecTile and the phone will take you straight into the app/action you want.
